Biography
Founder and Director of the Pianissimo Festival
Alexey Gorodnev when still was student focused his activity on music production.
The idea of Pianissimo was formed in 2017. The first concerts were held at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow, and in 2018 the main venue for the festival was the Large Italian Skylight of the New Hermitage, where paintings by Giorgione and Giovanni Battista Tiepolo are exhibited. This is how the concept of the entire initiative was finally formed: the desire to synthesize different types of art and support the talent of young pianists in art spaces.
For the eight years of the existence of the Pianissimo festival, the main venues have become, in addition to the State Hermitage, the Moscow House of Culture GES-2 and the Strelka Warehouses in Nizhny Novgorod. The festival continues its international status primarily due to the musicians coming to Russia from Italy, Germany, China, South Korea, the USA, Brazil and many other countries. In addition, in 2024, the festival successfully debuted in Brazil, where a series of concerts with the support of the GES-2 Culture House took place within the walls of the legendary Copacabana Palace Theatre in Rio de Janeiro.
