Biography<\/h2>\n

Alexander Romanovsky<\/strong> was born in 1984<\/strong> and already in his early childhood he showed bright musical abilities. At the age of nine, he made his first appearance with an orchestra, and at the age of eleven with the Moscow Virtuosi chamber orchestra conducted by Vladimir Spivakov. In 1996<\/strong> he won the Grand Prix at the 3rd Vladimir Krainev International Young Pianists' Competition in Kharkov. In 1999<\/strong> Alexander Romanovsky was awarded the title of Honorary Academician of the Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna for his performance of Bach's Goldberg Variations (at the age of fifteen only Mozart and Rossini had received this title). In 2001<\/strong> he became one of the youngest winners of the F. Busoni Competition in Bolzano (Italy), and in 2011<\/strong> he won the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition.<\/p>\n

In 2007<\/strong> he completed his studies at the Incontri col Maestro Piano Academy in Imola (class of Leonid Margarius) and in 2008<\/strong> he graduated from the Royal College of Music in London (class of Dmitri Alexeev).<\/p>\n

Alexander Romanovsky<\/strong> has performed at the world's most prestigious concert venues and works with major orchestras including the London Royal Philharmonic, the Santa Cecilia National Academy Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, the Moscow Virtuosi chamber orchestra, the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra, the La Scala Philharmonic, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and others. He has collaborated with prominent conductors of our time, including Vladimir Spivakov, Valery Gergiev, Mikhail Pletnev, Antonio Pappano, Gianandrea Noseda, James Conlon, Alan Gilbert and others.<\/p>\n

The artist's discography includes six albums recorded on the Decca and Warner labels, which have been critically acclaimed. In February 2019<\/strong>, a recording of all of S. Rachmaninoff's concertos was released under the Spivakov Sound label. Rachmaninoff, performed with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia conducted by Vladimir Spivakov.
